Welcome to Mayfield East Before and After School Care & Vacation Care This a brief overview of our parent handbook which is provided on enrolment. Please see staff. Location: Hours of Operation: Age of Children we Provide Care For: Aim of our Service: Our service provides and promoted healthy diet and exercise, we provide a completely home cooked style menu that is low in sugar, low in sodium and low in fats. Our service strives to recognise the diversity of cultures and differing abilities of children within our community by fostering awareness and acceptance of every child through a nurturing, inclusive environment. Our service is willing to meet the needs of the children, families and the wider community. Child Care Benefits: Contact the families assitance office for the follow information: Families percentage rate 50% rebate Options Please contact the Family Assistance or call 136 150, Our centre's provider numbers are as follows; Before and After School Care: 407 - 130 – 436S Vacation Care and Pupil Free Day - 407 - 097 – 985L Registration with the Families Assistance Office is required by our centre to obtain and be eligible for the fee reduction. The service is funded by the Department Education,Employment,and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) The service is a member of the National Childcare Accreditation Council Inc. (NCAC)
Our Service Fee: The following fees are before the CCB percentage is deducted from your fee's please contact the Family Assistance or call 136 150 to obtain your percentage & 50% rebate options. Part 1) Enrollment Fee: This service has an annual enrollment fee that will be charged to your account each Febuary this fee is per family per year this fee covers all administration cost in relation to the centre. These fees are as follows: Before and After School Care enrollment fee is $35.00 Part 2) Two Week Bond: This service carries a two week bond, this bond is calculated by the amount of days your child/ren use the service at the full fee rate then add to your account.The two week bond will be refunded at the end of care after the family has provide in a written letter of two weeks notice & all sign in/out sheet have been signed.This revised each July when Childcare benefit annual rebate is recalculated & the service may change there fee schedule. Part 2A) When families take holiday's during a school term & you have permanent books day's you are still required to pay these day's. This will secure you place on return to the service. Part 3) Late Fee and Absent Fee: All service fees are due on Monday of each week, a $10.00 per day late fee will be added if your fees are not settled by Wednesday of each week, to avoid this fee please contact staff . All absent are still charged the normal rate for that day ie: if you child is absent on a Monday afternoon you will be charged your normal Monday ASC fee. Part 4)Before School Care Fees: Permanent bookings fee is $10.00 per child per session,Casual bookings is $12.00 per child per session, fee includes all meals. Part 4b) After School Care Fees: Permanent bookings fee is $16.00 per child per session.Casualbookings fee is $18.00 per child per session, fee includes all meals. Part 4c) Vacation Care and Pupil Free Day Fees: Vacation care is $45.00 per child per day, fee includes all meals, activities and excursions unless otherwise specified the service tries to keep the cost excursions to minimum cost to families. Part 5) Non -- Notification of Attendance Fee: This $5.00 fee is added to your account if you do not notify the service of a non attendance, this fee covers calls made by staff to track down and locate the where abouts of your child, it is our Duty of Care to locate a child that is on our roll but not attending the service. Families are also required to sign for absent day's,if your child/ren is away for any reason the next back in care you are required to for these day's. Please ask staff & they show where to sign.Thankyou this is government required.
Meals: The cost of all meals provided is already added to your daily fee, no extra costs will be added Part 1) Before School Care: our service provides a wide range of options for breakfast, our hot and cold menu option includes items such as Cereal, Toast, Eggs, Juice, Muffins and Bacon plus much more, please click here to view our complete hot and cold menu option Part 2) After School Care: our service provides a wide variety of home cooked nutritional meals that are low in fats, low in sugar and low in sodium, the children help staff by providing input into what they would like to have to eat also. Part 3) Special Dietary Needs: please inform the staff in writing or on your child's enrollment form of any special dietary needs or allergies prior to attendence. Part 4) Vacation Care: our service provides Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea during vacation care, these meals are all home made style low in fats, low in sugar and low in sodium.
Transport:The cost of all transportation options is included in your daily fee, no extra cost will be added. Part 1) School Collection and Arrival: The service provides a pick up and drop off service to the following schools; Carrington, Tighes Hill, Islington, St Columbans, St Dominic's schools & The Hunter Christian School. The children are transported by private vehicle or bus depending on the number of children required to be picked up, all staff hold current NSW driving licences and all vehicles meet RTA and NSW Police regulations. All Mayfield East Public School children are meet by staff on the grounds of Mayfield East Public School. Part 2) Excursions: Private buses: With seat belts transport children to & from excursions. Excursion are general within Newcastle, Maitland & Port Stephens area. Part 3) Recreational Activities: The service can transport children to & from training, Dance class within the local area please contact our staff for information.
Learning and Development: Our staff provide and fun and happy learning environment, our staff observe your children during play and program activities that will help your children enhance their abilities and developmental milestones. Our staff are happy to sit down with your child and help them with any homework or assessments, please contact our staff for information
